Terms & Conditions
No Shows & Cancellation Policy
All bookings must be paid for the time of reservation. Cancellations within 7 days of your arrival will not be eligible for a refund when booking on the Flexible Rate. Room Only bookings are non-refundable. All our room rates are inclusive of VAT. If we are able to sell your room, we will do our best to reimburse you if we can. If you do not show up for your booking, you will receive no reimbursement.
Payments
We accept payment in both cash and card, although card payments are preferred. We do not accept payment by cheque or travellers cheque.
Minimum Stays
We have a two-night minimum stay policy on Friday and Saturday nights.
Check in & Check Out
You may check-in at any time from 3pm – 7pm on the scheduled day of arrival. On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate your rooms by 11am. In some cases, there may be a small delay getting your room ready for 3pm, for which we sincerely apologise. We will always ensure you are welcomed warmly and provided a comfortable place to relax until your room is ready.
Late check-out after this time can be requested, subject to availability, and may be charged at an hourly rate at our discretion.
Booking Changes
Rates are subject to change & we reserve the right to change your accommodation should we need to.
Food Service Times
Breakfast: 8:00am – 10:00am in the Barn. Breakfast reservations can be made on check in.
Lunch: Monday to Saturday: 12 30pm – 2:30pm. Sunday 12pm – 3:30pm
Dinner: Monday to Thursday & Sunday: 6pm – 9:00pm (last booking) Friday and Saturday: 6pm – 9:00pm (last booking)
Bar: Monday to Saturday: 12pm – 11:00pm (last orders 11:00pm) Sundays’ 12pm – 10:00pm (last orders)
It is recommended you book a table in the Dining Room should you wish to dine with us.
Security
While there are alarms and CCTV on the premises, all guests are responsible for their own belongings. We recommend that you keep your room locked when vacating your room. There is a safe in each of the rooms and we encourage you use this for valuable items.
After Hours
There will be no staff members on site between approximately 11:30pm and 7am. If you require assistance during the night, you will be given a selection of emergency numbers to call.
Guest Behaviour & Noise
We ask that all guests are mindful of one another when dining at The Swan Inn. We must also be mindful of the houses around us to ensure we do not disturb our lovely village of Fittleworth. If any of our guests are rude or dismissive to staff or other guests, we have the right to ask them to leave, although we sincerely hope this never happens. As some of our rooms are located above the kitchen and bar, there may be some occasional noise. However, we have done our best to mitigate all disturbances.
Smoking
Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes are not permitted inside any of our buildings. We have provided outside ashtrays for anyone who wishes to smoke, but you must refrain from smoking inside the building. If the smell of smoke is detected in your room upon departure, we may charge an extra fee for the additional cleaning required.
Groups
The Swan Inn considers a group any booking of 6 or more rooms booked during the same dates and for the same purpose. Therefore, any booking for 6 rooms or more will be subject to the group conditions of deposit and cancellation policies. The Swan Inn reserves the right to wave the group policy on certain occasions, at the discretion of the General Manager, otherwise the reservations would constitute a group of 6 rooms or more when travelling together; and will request the parties to book under the conditions of a group. Conditions: Payment must be made by one individual payer, following a schedule of deposits and the accommodation will be submitted to a special date for cancellation.
Rates and Promotions
Subject to availability. Blackout dates may apply. Promotions cannot be combined,and promotional rates are displayed with all discounts applied. Promotions apply to new bookings only.
Dogs
We are a dog friendly pub and have dog friendly rooms. Upon arrival your four-legged friend will receive a dog bowl, a dog bed and treats.
Please indicate that you will be bringing a dog when making your reservation. A charge of £35 per dog, per night applies. They must be supervised and kept under control at all times and any damage or disruption to other guests will be charged.
Families
We welcome children of all ages and cots or small beds can be arranged in certain rooms at an additional charge of £30 per child per night. Guests under the age of 18 may only be registered and checked in to the hotel if accompanied by an adult.
Damages
In the event of any damage or loss to the contents of your room, including stains to any of the soft furnishings, carpets and rugs we reserve the right to charge the credit or debit card used to book your reservation with either the full cost ofrepairing/cleaning such item(s) or if this is not possible the replacement cost with new.

Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the pub, through sign up or linking of social media.
