Room 07

Our Emmeline Pankhurst room honours one of the 20th century’s most influential campaigners. Pankhurst stayed at The Swan Inn in the 1910s, travelling widely as part of her relentless activism to engage local communities in her cause. It’s one of our largest rooms, decorated with warm wood accents which meld with soft blues and reds, with floral block-printed wallpaper.

In deference to her era-shifting work, the room bridges both the oldest and newer Victorian sections of the main pub building. This room has some access stairs that are steep and may not be suitable for guests with walking difficulties.

Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate children overnight in this room. This room is not suitable for dogs.
